EPICA's Appearance On Brazilian TV Expected To be Seen By 10 Million Viewers
November 12, 2005Next week, the Dutch gothic metal sensation EPICA will fly over to São Paulo, Brazil, to make an appearance on the TV show "Do Jô". Described as "the South-American equivalent of the 'Late Night Show with David Letterman'," "Do Jô" draws approximately ten million viewers every day. On November 17, EPICA will make their debut on the program, taking part in both a performance and an interview.
EPICA have been very successful in South America and Asia for quite some time, but when it comes down to media attention, the invitation they received from "Do Jô" now is an absolute zenith. "Not only for EPICA, but for Dutch music in general," states Hans van Vuuren, general manager of EPICA's record company, Transmission Records. "It's unique in the history of Dutch metal that EPICA gets broadcasting time on such a large scale."
Immediately following their appearance on "Do Jô", EPICA will return for a European tour, after which they will be close off the year by embarking on a South American trek, including dates in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
